a favorite food
One of my favorite foods is oatmeal. I usually gussy it up with fruit and nut butters, but every once in awhile I like to keep it simple.

Cinnamon and brown sugar, such classic oatmeal toppings, are often neglected from my daily oats. A recent breakfast refreshed my memory of why they should reenter the rotation.
Just make sure the cap to the cinnamon jar is securely fastened, as a little bit goes a long way. However,I think there can never be too much brown sugar…
Old-Fashioned Oatmeal
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
Boil milk and water on stove. Add oats, stirring occasionally until thickened. Upon serving, mix in toppings.

I never really ate oatmeal until I lived with you, way to peer pressure me into the whole grains haha, I’m glad you did!

i loooovvveeee oatmeal. have you ever had overnight oats? Soak them overnight and then in the morning, just eat-no need to cook and they turn out soo creamy!
My favorite oatmeal though, involves pb and raisins, a perfect combination of my three loves!
