intro to hell
On October 24, Cuisine en Locale and the American Repertory Theater joined forces to create the second annual ONCE in Hell: Dante’s Inferno in Ten Courses.
Outside the OBERON Theater, Cambridge, Massachusetts.
This one-night-only play and locally-sourced meal was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. Courses ranged from Lust (oyster shooters from Peter’s Point, Island Creek) to Heaven (Parker pumpkin cheesecake), accompanied by respective theatrical interpretations.
JJ Gonson, head chef (slash architect, playwright, honcho, wonderwoman, etc.), asked me to capture the extraordinary night from behind-the-scenes.
I’m excited to announce I’ll be posting a new installment every Sunday for the next few weeks. See you next week for more HELL.

FANTASTIC SHOTS!!
I am so jealous! This looks like so much fun, and the food sounds amazing! Dante + great food, I don’t know what else anyone could want!

wonderful! some really great shots! do you have more? I’ve been wanting to find you to see what show pics you may have – we have nothing else recorded for the evening. Anything you wouldn’t mind sending over would be greatly appreciated – thanks!
