Last Thursday, April 8, 2010, I volunteered for Share our Strength’s Taste of the Nation Boston. Over 70 local restaurants and over 40 wineries participated in the benefit, and all proceeds go towards efforts to end childhood hunger.
It was a very tasty evening, to say the least.
Hungry Mother owned the bacon trend with their pecan-bacon brittle.
And these blue potatoes from Concord’s Verrill Farm were even better than Terra Blue chips. Inspiration for this summer for sure.
One of my favorite local vendors, Iggy’s, also stopped by to share their magical breads and rolls. And herbed butters. Wonderful.
More photos to come next week! Happy weekend.
