Let’s go back in time, to Boston’s City Year building, on June 10, 2010.
Welcome to the first annual Taste of the World! Brought to you in part by Hostelling International USA’s Cultural Kitchen program, which exposes inner-city students to cooking in the kitchen as a means of culture and conflict-resolution.
My favorite appearance of the evening was definitely the watermelon & feta tidbits by Vlora. A touch of balsamic vinegar and olive oil was near perfection.
The crunchy popped corn from Taranta allowed a balancing palate-cleanser between the wide variety of tastes. It was also fun to watch them make it.
I enjoyed a nice ravioli dish with sage and glossy butter, care of Trattoria Toscana.
And Jacob Wirth’s mini potato pancakes were fun for the whole family.
Thanks to Karin for planning such a wonderful event!
