the gallows
Sunday brunch. What better time to indulge your tastebuds?
Sunrise poutine: scrambled eggs, fries, gravy, cheese curds, Canadian bacon.
The Gallows recently served its first poutine before noon. There was also coffee.
Satisfyingly greasy. While the scrambled eggs and bacon were not bad, my companion and I decided we prefer standalone poutine.
French toast with bananas foster, fluffernutter brulée.
I really meant to get something savory, but once the waitress described the indulgent marshmallow and peanut butter toppings, there was no turning back. I have no regrets.
If you are hungry or enjoy leftovers, rejoice in large portions. We could have used an additional two brunchers to help clean our plates.

Next time – lobster sausage.
Interesting….I have never heard of poutine.
I love cheese curds! I’ve never thought of adding them to eggs…. Jess these pics look amazing you’ll have to take me next year when I visit!
this is less a brunch then any semblance of survival after pulling an especially raucous all-nighter. the decadence is blinding. which is to say: dessert and fries for breakfast sounds *awesome*
mmmm – i’ve been wanting to eat there! my husband (who you met at bricks and scones, might still be sitting by him) told me about your blog – it’s great!
